Is this a new policy at TESU? Educational Provder review. Potentially major problem.

What does Provisionally approved- Review pending mean? I see Aleks, Saylor and study.com on that list. I just transferred Aleks credits last week, and I plan to transfer study.com credits the coming week. How is this change in policy going to affect me? Do I need to write to them?

They probably put every provider they have been accepting in the past into the provisional list until and if they talk them into jumping through this hoop. How long they will stay there and whether they will abruptly stop accepting credits at some point is anyone's guess. Couldn't hurt to ask...you might get an answer back in email that would be helpful if they balked at accepting one of your courses at some point.

Looks like they've had this in the pipe for a while. The "starter kit" has a prepared date of November 2018. On the plus side, maybe Shmoop can jump through this hoop and finally get back on board at TESU.

I have written to TESU. Waiting to hear from them. Every one of the courses I am completing and transferring has been preplanned with my advisor, and included in my eval as planned transfers. If they suddenly refuse now, I am in serious trouble, as I am basically inches away from completing 120 credits.

WTF? I just transferred in 27 credits from a CC. I've already completed 7 courses at Straighterline too.

That's all fine and well, but I signed up for the Cornerstone there for $1,200 dollars, course actually starts today! It isn't a big deal for me to move everything over to COSC, but nonetheless, feels like they basically just stole $1,200 from me if they don't accept Straighterline and SDC credits!

Probably worth sending your alternative credits into TESU more frequently, just in case. I'm also pretty confident that SDC will jump through this hoop and be safe. They've put way too much effort into their TESU relationship not to.

I have basically been transferring credits month after month. I usually complete up to 18 credits every month. I transferred 9 credits last week. 9 more to follow next week. If there has been such a serious policy change, why would not an advisor write to me? I even received a confirmation email that my transcript has been received, and pending evaluation.

I put that $1,200 on my CC 2 weeks ago. I'm debating contacting Amex, disputing the charge, letting them know that an abrupt and unexpected change of policy and I will no longer be attending. Maybe just move everything over to COSC anyways. If they want to play these games, I'll just go elsewhere.

I have 21 credits from SL that I've also worked on day and night for the last month, no chance I'm not using those towards a degree.

I really don't think you need to panic. So far SL and the other providers all seem to be fine. I'd just go ahead and get that SL transcript sent in.

Yes, I plan on doing that. I have 3 completed with scores in the 80's and 4 more that all I need to do is take the final. I have scores between 82% and 94% in those 4 courses, so I can basically take the finals blindfolded to meet the total 70% number. I was going to study more to achieve a better grade, but at this juncture, I want them finished and done with ASAP, so I don't care about the scores and only the credits... Might as well rush through all of them as I basically need like a 20% on each to pass the courses.

This policy is having the opposite effect on my education - instead of caring at all, I'm now going to be racing through them for the credit, so dumb.

Just scheduled the proctoring for the other 4 courses where all I have left is the final. Going to knock those out in the next 2 days. Won't get a lot of studying in for them, but whatever, just want to get the transcript in and make sure it all still goes through.

I have a total of 27 credits they already accepted from a CC, I have another 3 from Sophia, 3 from the CSM Learn (which is actually on their approved list), 42 credits I was planning on working through on Straighterline over about 4 months (I'm already almost halfway home after 1 month here), 33 credits from Study.com (which I was preparing to start in 2 weeks), 6 more from Aleks, and the last 6 from the Cornerstone & Capstone at TESU.

I'm just really flustered right now as I finally put my plan into action, starting working diligently through it, and it might not be good anymore.

Just got this email from Saylor:

I wouldn't anticipate any problesm -- TESU commonly accepts ACE and NCCRS, and we have a formal agreement in place with them.

I'm not sure how recent the TESU page is, but I think it might be an internal process for them; that is, TESU might be updating their approvals and moved everyone over to the "provisional" list. I don't believe we've recently applied for approved status or that we have any actions we need to take.

I'll ask colleagues to learn what they might know, but I think you don't need to worry!
