Need help with TESU plan - possible issue w/ UL/LL

I think the timing of the ACE transcipt request and the ACE approval is why PSY 104 never got through. In any event, I have to be compassionate to myself for this mistake bc I was in a VERY difficult transition and I'm not surprised that a mistake like this happened. Anyway...

I had sent over the ACE transcript on 12/12/2017 which I had thought included all 4 of these:

Education 103: Classroom Management 08/22/2017
Education 104: Differentiated Instruction 09/20/2017
History 108: History of the Vietnam War 10/09/2017
Psychology 104: Social Psychology 12/13/2017

But it doesn't appear that the Psychology 104: Social Psychology course went over since it looks like I completed that on 12/13/2017. So this was an error on my part.

I also then lapsed my catalog and had to reapply recently, so I'm in the 2019A one now.

So are you saying that if I updated my degree to be just BALS, then the History 108 could still be UL, even though I had to reapply and no longer in that old catalog?

If it is already showing on your TESU evaluation as HIS-351 then it will remain as HIS-351.  It's one course that you may have lost UL credit for, not any serious loss.  If your goal is still to have the GM concentration I think before you switch to the no concentration all comes down to getting the GM concentration courses as UL through alternative sources (I did a quick look and I don't see why you couldn't, as NCCRS shows many of the Study.com as UL for them) - I don't keep a running list of TESU UL for courses however, but dfrecore or someone else will likely be able to tell you how to earn those GMs to make sure they come in UL https://www.tesu.edu/heavin/ba/general-management

Ask TESU to add the evaluations for both the BALS No Concentration and the BALS w/GM - then you'll really have a better idea of what falls where.  They will usually do this quite quickly.  Are you enrolled? Or had you taken the cornerstone when it was an option, or did they carry over the waiver from when you first applied and had study.com affiliation? If not then you'll have to take the SOC-110 - what does the official evaluation show?

Thanks for your reply and the tip. I've reached out and have requested multiple academic evals going at once.


For the BALS.GM, they put HIS-351 under the section, "3: Liberal Studies General Coursework", so I don't think that is UL?

So, I have no idea if I updated my degree to just BALS if they then stick it in under AOS for UL credit???

Yes, I have enrolled again, I did not take the cornerstone back then and they are not carrying over the waiver. Correct, I need to do SOS-110. My bad on not taking a TECEP to keep enrolled in the catalog.

Ok....

Now this is even more confusing. Just got the Study.com transcript back and they have Education 103: Classroom Management as UL?!

It does not matter how Study.com sees it, it is how TESU will accept it (although they do now tend to match those type of recommendations).  And I'm quite certain that Education prefix courses go into free electives only not not the gen eds or AOS - so even if UL it has not impact on the BALS AOS.

And the HIS-351 should work as UL in the AOS for the BALS, it is likely you just need to ask them to move it.
