Free Computer Science Courses?
#1
Hello,

I'm wondering if there are any free computer science courses. I'm taking my degree in IT at Excelsior and need computer architecture and project management.

Thanks

I think the cheapest option would be to take both classes in one month at Study.com. I don't see the architecture course listed under transfer, but maybe it's outdated.

Thanks for responding,

I've used Study.com before but my advisor said not to use them anymore because the degree is ABET certified and the courses don't meet that standard.

I would check with someone else. I just checked and didn't see anything about ABET in the student handbook in regards to ACE credit.

If they require specific courses to meet ABET requirements they probably won't allow any ACE courses. You'll most likely be forced to take those directly from the school itself, or from another college that also meets ABET requirements.

Then again, I've never heard of one of the big 3 schools not accepting Study.com courses towards their degrees.

In all my years on this forum, I've never heard this.  I think your advisor is mistaken.
