When you say APU - what school are you referring (there is more than one 'APU')?

As far as obtaining a US bachelor degree from TESU, that is an option - there are quite a few posts here about how you would get your international transcript evaluated for US credit (a forum search should locate those threads).

TESU only accepts credits from Patten University that are ACE recommended (so depending on the courses you took, and when  - you can search here to see what Patten courses are/where ACE recommended https://www2.acenet.edu/credit/?fuseacti...ripts.main).  If you have ACE approved courses from Patten I'm not sure how easy it is to get them added to an ACE transcript now that Patten is no more - You can try adding them and see what happens, I would not delay on this.

I thought WGU had a policy that does not allow students who live outside of the U.S. regardless of citizenship status. I've never heard of them rejecting U.S. permanent residents or visa holders who live in the States.

Patten University was regionally accredited before it was absorbed by the regionally accredited JFK University. They don't have ACE-evaluated courses because they didn't need them. TESU accepts their credits just like they accept other RA credits.

Edit: WGU's policy is based on where you live and not your citizenship. You must live in the States or a U.S. territory. Exceptions are only made for military members and their families living overseas.

My apologizes, I'm having a Monday kind of Monday - I had mixed up Patten with Penn Foster for some reason.   And I misunderstood WGU's policy.

Capella is relatively cheap for some degrees, if you complete it fast enough. They are the cheapest way to get a Psych masters for most people, and they have I/O as a possible concentration. However, I think non-licensure Psych graduate degrees may leave you without as many job options.

I've also heard that Capella makes it darn near impossible for someone to finish in a timely manner - can't remember what they do exactly, maybe delay grading papers or something along those lines. Possibility that they were being sued? Can't remember exactly.

Which country did you get your previous degree from? Did you get ECE or WES to evaluate your credentials course by course? Another program you might be interested in, since you’re into business and psychology is the Brandman University Mypath MAOL, Masters of Arts in Organizational Leadership. The program is competency based and just $3500/6 month term. I wonder if it can be done in that 6 months... https://www.brandman.edu/academic-progra...ip-my-path

I believe that's for their doctoral programs. A few of the for-profit schools are known for intentionally delaying doctoral students.

I got it from Africa and yes you are right, i will have to send them to WES to be evaluated as an admission counselor told me a while ago.

So i finally spoke to an admissions counselor and he said it is possible to get combined honors but i have to get my transcripts in. He said something about residency which bothers me. I will have to take mandatory 16 units with TESU or pay $2500 for a waiver... Undecided Can anyone please shed more light about this because this seems like taking a mandatory 5 or 6 courses with them. Is there any way out?

You have the option of taking 16 credits with TESU (four 3cr courses plus the mandatory 1cr cornerstone and 3cr capstone) or you can pay $2500 ($2200 with Study.com discount) to waive those requirements, and only need to take the cornerstone and capstone, and you can transfer in the balance of 116 credits.

Most of us pay for the residency waiver and just transfer in as much as we can. Either way, you still have to pay for the cornerstone ($300 as long as it is completed before July 1st) and the capstone ($1098 with the Study.com discount) in order to graduate, but that should be all you have to take with them unless you're in a degree program that doesn't have alternative credit options.
Working on: Debating whether I want to pursue a doctoral program or maybe another master's degree in 2022-23

Almost everyone on this forum takes the bare minimum 4 credits at TESU and pays the waiver. Also, you get a discount on the waiver(and tuition) if you take at least 1 study.com course.

Sure @ Merlin, i think that is the way i will go because i checked their website and it cost about $499/credit which is way more than paying for the waiver.

So i have some questions....

1) I have decided to pay for the waiver but how do i get the study.com discount when i want to do that?

2) Since my transcripts are yet to arrive and when they do, i will have to send them to WES for evaluation before they even get to TESU, i have decided to use the time wisely and test out some necessary courses ASAP. i am looking at majoring in History and Human Resource Management. I have a lot of history credit from back home and couple of credits from Patten University that will fit into HR, so i figured i will just go with both. With this i will like to test out these courses and will appreciate if anyone can help me with the best and cheapest place to test them out (excluding DSST OR CLEP..IT HAS TO BE STRICTLY ONLINE TESTING)

i) Human Resource Management
ii) Change Management
iii)Sociology of work
iv)Interpersonal communications
v)Legal principles and practices of employment law

Thanks..Smile

The easiest thing would be to take all of these through Study.com.  They have all of them.
