Just making sure...does principles of supervision (DSST) count for the management requirement at EC or do I have to take the CLEP??? I thought it did, but I am starting to question it...

In the section of the Business Catalog that talks about what exams fulfill core business requirements (pages 53-54 I think) it only lists CLEP Management exam and not the DSST Supervision for the management requirement. It is odd since they are basically the same test but I think you have to take the CLEP. Since you already passed the Supervision it should be really easy.

So, is the jury still out on this? I don't have an advisor to go to, so I'm wondering if anyone else has asked this question to someone at EC, I don't want to take the Management CLEP if I don't have to.

Hi bmills,
DSST Principles of Supervision is merely a business elective. CLEP Principles of Management, however, is part of the required business core.
The good news is that both exams are quite straightforward. Nobody has any need to fear either of them.
Hope that helps,
