Northeastern U. Credit via IBM Cognitive Class
#1
I came across a partnership between IBM and Northeastern University that can potentially result in graduate credit at Northeastern.  It involves completing six or seven online badges/courses via IBM's Cognitive Class learning site.  It is unclear if the three resulting credits will be placed on a transcript without taking another class at Northeastern.

This reminds me a little of the micromaster's concept. So, I've read all the links you posted, and it appears as if you'd have to apply/enroll in order to generate the grad credit (1 class). My question, which is the same as with micromasters, is what is the tipping point that allows you to actually get a transcript?
I'm also curious what the badges come over as- maybe just generally tagged as "elective" which might not be "as" useful as a named class?.... not sure.

I have free access to these IBM courses, I never even bothered to seek credit for them...
Let me check with HR and see if there is credit for these or if I get these exams free.

It doesn't really sound like you get credit you could take anywhere. It sounds more like the micromasters where you get a leg up IF you enter the master's program at Northeastern...but worse as it's only three credits.

Yeah, this not very good. It is just interesting and I kind of like some of the IBM course topics.
