I was told by my Excelsior advisor that if I take either one of the following courses that I will be able to knock out both of my ethics and written English requirements at the same time. I am thinking of doing it to get the most bang for my buck.
Has anyone taken either of these 8 week courses and was wondering if there was any feedback about them.
- COMM 335 Ethics in Communication
- BNS 301 Ethics and Diversity in National Security

You're not going to find many people on this forum who have taken courses at EC, as they are pricey ($1200-$1500 per course). You can take an alternative credit course for under $100.

Georgia Institute of Technology: MS in Analytics (3/32 Credits)

Military costs for EC undergrad courses are 250$/credit so way more affordable. For the cost of a single course though you could take the DSST business ethics @ approx 120$ (to include sitting fee) and Comp 1+ 2 from StraighterLine @ 200ish (with coupon). And be done with all the requirements in less than a month. Even if you paid the residency waver you could possibly come out cheaper than taking 1 course from them. Traditionally being 1500 + books for each course.
I know they take SL english as that's what I used to satisfy my requirements for my degree.

EC doesn't have the residency waiver, only TESU has that.

If you are going to take courses from Excelsior, why not take a degree from a state university that someone has actually heard of instead? The advantage of Excelsior is alternate credit they accept not the quality of their courses although I sure they are fine.

Military costs are $0 for the first exams yes.
Excelsior has a residency waiver. I know because I paid for it. For those of us earning fewer than 15 credits from Excelsior for bachelor degrees there are two options:

EC might not call it a "residency waiver" but that is what it is. It alleviates you from requiring to take 5 classes in-house.
The capstone in-house is still a requirement.
