Transfer Equivalencies for study to TESU - Received Info

Rather strange that the Study.com calculus course transfers as 6 credits although it's apparently just Calculus I. Does anyone have an explanation for that?

These were all known except MAT 98 & 99.  Also, EDU courses won't count as math, even though it's "teaching math".

Okay then- I thought I was trying to help by adding more info to this forum since one user had a question about the MAT 98 course she was taking and whether or not it would be counted for credit.

Don't be discouraged by the feedback... contributing is a great way to learn. Plus, confirmations are always helpeful... new courses are introduced now and then and evaluations can change over time.

Thanks acamp!  I'm glad I didn't take the MAT 98.  Do we know if the Business Math would count as a Math requirement or Business requirement?  This is a big help!

Business Math comes into TESU as BUS-161, and it should meet the Quantitative Literacy GenEd requirement. As for meeting business requirements, the only other math course required for the BSBA is Statistics, which BUS-161 does not meet. I don't think BUS-161 will fit anywhere else in the BSBA AOS either, but if it does, I'm sure someone else will chime in to correct me.

So, it may end up as a GenEd elective if you already have College Algebra or something like that.

But Business Math wouldn't work for the BSBA degrees, right? The catalog is very specific about either college algebra (precalc at study) or quantitative business analysis (quantitative literacy at study). I'd much rather take business math at study since it appears to be a shorter course and I'm in a hurry, but I guess I wouldn't risk it. I already took a chance on communications 120 which I am hoping will fit in the oral communications slot.

Correct, you need College Algebra or Quant Business Analysis for BSBA.

I'm not certain Quantitative Lit will work for TESU - did you check first?  If not, I would do that.

I'm not certain Quantitative Lit will work for TESU - did you check first?  If not, I would do that.

I just got Comm 120 from Study.com evaluated and they put it in my Oral Communication Slot without me asking, which was great!
