Wouldn't it just be easier to drop the Social Science designation (whatever its called now) and just do the generic Liberal Arts? The Shmoop (sp?) courses would then count in the AOS and the capstone would still apply. Due to the change, the degree is now actually a liberal arts (on official transcript) degree anyway so there is no downside. Or, am I missing something?

Yes, easier and probably what will happen. It is the principal here based on courses I took specifically, that I would have done differently based on cost and time and subject. NO ONE - not even Study.com - was told of any changes; they were not published, nor given a cut off date, and they are applying them retroactively, without any clear deadline of a new standard date of downgraded courses. Even Study was very surprised by this! It's arbitrary and unacceptable for a business like they are in. There should be set dates and times and cut offs published, or at the very least given to Study.com as their partner! Not simply taken away quietly, secretly, and nobody knows about it. That's my two cents.
I'm not yelling at you, btw.

It's going well.
I'm trying to keep up with the capstone timing, and with everything else going on - so far so good. Though very frazzled. HA

Another question because of this crappy situation, in case they don't honor the courses that WERE UL when I took them, passed them, and sent them in...
What are some UL classes that are affordable that I can do quickly, without projects? I only need 12 more credits (or 4 more classes) and then I will be done with all courses. etc (*), and I guess they need to be UL just in case.... banghead (*I'm taking two 6 credit CLEPS , I hope I can anyway, for the remaining credits)

Specifically for the social science concentration? or are you open to another concentration within the Liberal Studies degree? Because if so that opens up a lot more options.

At this point it's anything that gets me my degree with what I've already done, and only 12 credits left to get.

I was just looking at this comment as well and noticed you took Shmoop courses!
Grab as many UL courses from them as you can in English Lit! Just do it!

DSST exams. Substance Abuse, Org Behavior, money and banking should all come in under SS. Plus there are two history DSST that come in under upper level.
