Historical Methods/Historiography New TESC History Requirement as of July 2015
#11
Excelsior offers a history degree that only requires history coursew, I believe. I kind of would like to do one an associates or bachelors in history, just because I enjoy history.
We are all on the same side here, trying to better our lives....so let's get along and help each other out.

Learn a trade. Gain technical skills. Make money, then use this money to get a degree...if you have the desire.

Thanks for the info guys. Charteroak also has a historiography class they have listed as 395. So it would go to reason you could take that and knock out 3 upper levels as well. I will ne posting my history degree plan soon om history

An update to this thread. TESU accepted AMU's Research Methods in History (HIST300) as a subsitute while TESU's Histiography class was underconstruction. Now that HIS-397 is open, I am glad I took the AMU course instead. Only 8 weeks and much more focused on easy discussions rather than 12 weeks with loads of papers. Do keep in mind that AMU preaches the (correct) Chicago style for citing rather than TESU's APA style, which I believe is because the Liberal Arts Capstone has a hodge podge of majors and graders rather than historians. Will TESU still accept this transfers now that they offer this class? Only one way to find out, ASK Smile

I'm looking at an online Historiography course at Fort Hays to meet TESU's Historical Methods/Historiography requirement. Is there anyone registered with TESU who would be willing to ask them if that course would transfer in and meet the requirement? I know their BA requirements say "Historiography" but the course they offer is "Historical Methods" and given the recent and seemingly sudden changes TESU has made regarding UL courses I'd like to be as sure as possible before spend the time and money.
Thanks!
