ALEKS - Force new assessment or no for 68%?

Work a couple more pie charts and then force it, if you are feeling extra good, just do it!
Force that assessment and hope for the best. You're so close, you should be good by tomorrow.

Well, they seemed to have made some changes and you can only force a "knowledge quiz" now? I'm so confused.. I worked the pie to 72ish percent and forced this knowledge quiz with just 15 questions.. Hope this is it and send some prayers I can be done.

Change the area of study to something else, then log out and back in and change it back. It will force a new evaluation (at least that's how I've done it)

You have to login to the master account and force a new assessment.

I think there's a checkbox for "force new assessment". At the bottom.

Personally I would probably do a little more of the pie, to get to 75-77%, before spending the time on an assessment.

You need to log into your "master" account, that's where you can do it. Then go back to the "student" account to take the assessment.

Forcing an assessment is resetting the whole thing, so deletes your progress and you are back to the start. But if you pass the assessment with 70% you are done. If you don't pass, you can work on a different part of the pie usually. Some parts of the pie don't get unlocked until you pass other parts. That is one reason I would not try an assessment too early.

I don't know which one you're doing, but watch decimal places for questions that ask for them.

I found printing out what I didn't know from the original assessment, studying it, and forcing a new assessment was my fastest path to passing an ALEKS course.

What I *think* was the issue was that you can only request a knowledge assessment 1x in 24 hrs - maybe I was wrong? Anyway, afterni tortured myself with a quiz in learning mode, I noticed in my master account I had an option to request knowledge assessment when I was done.. sooo 16 questions later and a 71% I am DONE!

37 y/o, 3 crazy boys (5, 4 and 2.5) who aren't in school full time yet, a husband wondering why I was saying the f word excessively the last two evenings , no math since algebra in 1994 - and that was not pretty, and it's over! All together I spent 20 hours within aleks on various assessments, minimal pie work, used Khan academy and symbolab to break down steps of the problems. I tried to do 3-4 similar problems of each type and grasp the mathematical terminology I seriously did not have.

Yay for moving on in life!!
