I think that you won't have to take any of the Gen Ed courses - once you have a BA/BS at TESU, they accept that towards other degrees, and waive everything.

So you should only need your AOS and CS Electives for a total of 24cr.

Regarding residency, no one is sure there. I hope that you can use your previous residency, but I wouldn't let it go much more than a year from graduation. If you can get this degree sooner, then do it as quickly as possible so you can try to get in under your old residency.

Good luck!

The capstone is one of the required courses, so yes, that's included in the 24cr AOS/Core that I talked about.

Get rid of the GE by telling them you already have a bachelor's degree. You don't need to do it again. Once you have the GE waiver, advising will put random courses into the GE slots you haven't completed yet.

You will have to do the capstone. It's not listed in the eval you posted, but you will need to take it.

Ask TESU about the residency issue.

I'm skipping the GE section since you won't need it.

You'll need a linear algebra or discrete math course. I'd go for the linear algebra course at a 4-year school like APU to get rid of one of the UL requirements at half the cost of TESU. Online UL courses that fit in BA CS are very hard to find, so I'd get rid of UL AOS requirements early and often.

For data structures, I am not aware of any options outside of actual courses.

You'll need the capstone, which is only available as a course at TESU.

Calc 1 and Calc 2 you can do at SL.

I believe Saylor has a software engineering course that might come in as UL for CS.

The other known test-out options are the DSST Cybersecurity, DSST MIS, CSU Global System Analysis.

There are many options for programming courses to fill the rest of the AOS, so I won't go into them. Make sure you get everything preapproved because lots of computer related courses don't count.

The hardest part of this degree is the math. Hopefully you'll do ok in the three math courses.

My signature has a link to my specific sequence of courses for the CS portion of my degree.

Good luck.

I was told by TESU that Saylor's CS302 Software Engineering will transfer as CIS-351, and I think a couple others were told the same in this thread:

Here is my latest BACS spreadsheet. It essentially covers the same info that TrailRunr did, but laid out in a table with costs. There are two main pages, one where you pay the residency waiver and get as many courses from outside TESU as possible, and one where you do TESU's comprehensive plan for one year and earn at least 16 credits at TESU to meet residency. As you can see the costs for both paths are fairly close. The cost of the comprehensive plan is a little overstated since you could use extra TESU courses and TECEPs (as long as you can fit them into the year) to replace some of those outside courses that are labeled $100. The waiver plan does not take the new $2500 residency waiver fee or the Study.com pricing into account.

I'll take the time to update when I get a round tuit.
