I'd say it's worth trying/asking about. I can't remember which office... start with the Bursar & Registrar. If it was me, I wouldn't mention price change right away, I'd just say I'd like to pay for ABC.

I went ahead and I paid my residency waiver with no issue just now. They initially said 2000, I reminded them of the affiliate pricing she immediately corrected herself and said 1800. No issues. I should have an official receipt by the end of the day

Wait do you have to pay the residency waiver fee in order to graduate or can you pay it and have at least one year to before you graduate?

No it can not be paid with financial aid

Looks like the answer is maybe not a year in advance, or three years in advance as the lady said but that I can pay the residency waiver today and apply for the September graduation which the deadline is June 1st. I will be confirming shortly once I get clarification.

BREAKING NEWS:
TESU says that for study.com members the new residency waiver rules do not apply to them. It is not changing as of April 1st. We are still under contract and apply to the old rules. She said at some point it will change but it is not APRIL 1st

I just got the same message from the Bursur's office. One change they said to be aware of is starting April 1st there will be a surcharge for credit cards. Apparently there are several other ways to pay: check, money order and some kind of invoice link they can send you. I guess we just need to keep our ears to the pavement. Thanks all

Deadline for September Graduation is July 1st not sure if this was a typo or the lady mis-spoke but it clearly states July 1st on the website.

As for less degree options, I don't think that's necessarily true, in terms of difficulty. Yes, if she wanted a BA in NatSci/Math for example, that is no longer an option; BUT, she could still get a BALS with a concentration in NatSci/Math. And, the courses required are exactly the same.
I too feel bad for anyone who I encouraged to get a degree this way, who has waited (and waited and waited), but then again, it's certainly not my fault that the catalog changes, prices change, etc. But, there are also some upsides from not doing it back when; it's actually EASIER today than it ever has been to find courses. Course providers come and go, but there are certainly a LOT more now, and at cheaper prices, than there were even a year ago. Yes, a few have gone up, but most have gone down or stayed the same. And they are adding courses regularly.
I am almost done but may need a course or two more since I am doing a BA and a ASBA. I just got an email saying TESU will now charge a fee for credit card payments too. They must have a budget crunch. I understand they are a business so I guess we can take our business elsewhere if too many changes occur. It is just that I am too far in now.
I don't think I have to pay a residency fee since most of my courses were online or guided study. But my final courses may be a tecep or one study.com. I wish study.com was available for credit when I started, I would have used them and saves myself some time and money. I love the video format and have used it to study for many of my TESU courses and exams.
