Hi. On a previous post someone commented the difficulty level of the L.A. capstone course may vary between Excelsior and Thomas Edison. Does anyone have recent knowledge in this area? After cost and time, I consider this a possible tie breaker in deciding which school to settle on. I only need to complete 4-5 courses to graduate.

Interesting new information from SuZQ2
http://www.degreeforum.net/excelsior-tho...vised.html If Excelsior is the same or harder than TESU, I'm now leaning towards TESU.

It's really hard for any of us to tell you for sure, because of course each of us has only done one or the other and can't compare (you'd be hard pressed to find someone who went to one and then got a second bachelors from the other, though I'm sure there's SOMEONE out there that has done this).
Not knowing anything about EC's capstone, I'll say that TESU's capstone isn't all too bad. I was absolutely dreading it, and you definitely have to put a lot of work into it. But it's not hard per se. As long as you have genuine interest in the topic you chose to research, you'll be able to manage. The more challenging parts are challenging only because they're labor intensive. But you can definitely do it.

I think I was the person who mentioned comparing Capstones. I actually was in the process of posting you the link to EC's Lib Arts Capstone syllabus when I noticed the big change in course assignments!
I must say, I thought the original version I participated in was difficult, but the new version seems much more rigorous. :ack: (YIKES...it scared me, and I've already graduated!!!:willynilly
TESU students have a lot of info here regarding their Capstone projects, professor ratings, etc., which I'm sure will be helpful in your decision-making process!
