If it gets phased out, that would leave the new BS Data analysis the only degree left, which can be completed without any actual courses (i.e. Capstone) taken at TESU. Is that correct?
Strategic management tecep under review!

Toastmaster Wrote:Hi folks, forgive my newbish questions (especially since I am at work and worried lol) You register for the TECEP in a specific term, so you could choose the March Term right now (only one available). Then, you add TESU to your list of providers on your ProctorU account. Then, once the March term begins, you go to your ProctorU account and schedule a date/time to take the exam. You can't schedule it before the first date of the March term, as it's just not available. You have until the last day of the March term to complete the exam.

Rachel.Excels Wrote:Ok so I just got off the phone with someone who deals with PLA's. He told me about testing out options. I mentioned that I am fully aware of the CLEP's and TECEP's.... and that I had just enrolled and will be taking the Strategic Management TECEP. He said that it's a good thing that I registered because they will be phasing it out. We got back on the subject of why I initially called. I totally forgot to inquire more about the Strategic Management change. So I emailed him... I love that they get so darn sidetracked over there - they always end up answering a question you didn't ask, or not answering the question you did ask, or changing your degree plan when you were just asking a quick question, or whatever. It's crazy. I've never seen a company be so obtuse - and it's constant. It's not like it's a one-off, this happens ALL THE TIME at TESU.

Oh I thought it was just me! This was my first time calling TESU for anything. I just wanted to register for their free CLEP prep program that they're piloting. (They will be waiving the CLEP fee, too!) A 2 minute phone call turned into 20 minutes. I love their enthusiasm though. It's as if they get a commission for convincing students to do PLA's or switch up degrees.

Ugh fun stuff, I will be face deep in the books March and April just making sure I'm ready for this exam. From the looks of it I'm only getting one shot at it. I wouldn't mind just taking the class if it wasn't $1500 for just 1 class. Need to pay for this exam first think when I get home then start preparing to take it. I'd like to take mine in April so I have some time to prep and take the Federal Income Tax TECEP as well.

Does anyone have a copy of the "study guide page" for this right now? It is off the website so I have nothing to refer too.
