TESU Initial Evaluation
#1
Question #1.
For evaluation, does TESU start the 25 business days from the time of
---application? (31+ business days for me but probably closer to 28 or 29 days if I account for a few days for Christmas/New Years)
---acceptance? (22 business days for me)
---or transcripts received (18 business days for me)

Question #2.
a) I want to send over my ACE transcript so those can get plugged into my evaluated but will that "start the clock" over (meaning will it add another 25 days for evaluation?)
b) Do I even need to do that or can I just ask them to "plan those in" once the evaluation is complete? I'm not expecting to get much advice from them but I don't want to be blindsided if some of my ACE credits end up being considered a free elective vs AOS vs. Gen Ed - or if I end up with not enough 200+ level classes and too many 100 level classes or something strange like that.

I'm almost at a point where I've completed the classes I know I need for sure but everything else is a guess until the evaluation is complete. I've already tried contacting them but haven't heard back and its been more than a week. I don't have much hope I'll hear anything until they feel like looking at my file. Maybe once I have the evaluation I'll get a better feel for how the process works. In the meantime, I'm sure some of you can give guidance on your experiences.

It's from the date they receive the transcript, AFAIK.

No, it won't reset the clock.

You can ask them to plan them in and they will put them on your transcript as pending. Actually having the courses on your transcript is only important for your own peace of mind, and for graduation.

Just get used to waiting, and leave yourself plenty of runway. It takes 25 days for evaluations, so don't wait to send them in until 26 days before some deadline. Don't rest on your laurels for too long either or you end up like me, graduation delayed 3 months because I took it easy for a while and ended up missing the deadline for December. Wink

On #2, once the 25 days is up on the first transcript received, they generally do ALL the transcripts they have, so you don't have to wait still more for that second transcript.

Hmmm.... Well they received the first transcript on 12/22. So maybe I'll hear something soon. The last transcript was received on 1/9. So worse case scenario is only a few more weeks. I'm just really surprised they take so long. The last school I applied to, I had a phone call the day I applied, had all transcripts evaluated and an advisor picking out classes within two weeks. But I won't complain. That option would have cost me 15k+. So far I've spent $87.

I think it's 25 business days from date of application. The evals are all done at the very end, so if you're going to send something, send them now so they get included in the initial eval. Once you get the initial eval, they will update each new transcript later and later (seems like).

Also, business days is M-F excluding holidays. Plus they sent something to someone on here a few days ago saying they were backlogged or something to that effect. Probably had a couple weeks off during Christmas and they are catching up. Mid-late December is kind of the worst time to apply.

Sometimes they will add transcripts one at a time which sometimes creates confusion. I transferred two transcripts on 1/3 and 1/4. The transcript from 1/4 was added to my eval but not the transcript from 1/3. One person was recently told 25-30 business days, used to be 20-25, maybe because of the holiday.

I don't know about him, but I never got an email. I just kept checking every day.

I got my evaluation today! They didn't send an email - I just stalked my online account a couple times a day and it was there this afternoon.
I was pretty happy -they transferred in more credits than I expected. And I have to give a shoutout to dfrecore for looking at the credits I posted and providing me with an excel spreadsheet to work off of. It was pretty spot on with the exception of just one class that I kind of thought would be an issue anyway. So now I have a concrete plan and hopefully can get these credits knocked out in the next 6-8 weeks before I start my capstone.

After the initial evaluation, do you have to apply for another evaluation if you send in more transcripts? If so, how do you do that?
