I'm thinking about taking a 3 credit lower level class at tesu. How do these courses work? Are they self paced? Can I finish as fast as I can complete assignments? Or does it have a timeline you can't accelerate past?
TESU March 2020 Graduation

--BSBA Accounting
--BA Computer Science
University of Alaska Fairbanks (December 2021 Graduation Goal)
--MBA (2/10 : 4.0)
I started this journey in the summer of 2016. I hoped to be done sooner, but I am still proud of the rate at which I have gotten my schooling done with respect to the many months of military training and deployments I have undergone.

They are 12 weeks, but the one I did had all of the assignments available on the first day, so I completed everything but the final exam in the first three weeks.
I had to sit back and wait for grades, though, as the mentor didn't look at them until they were due for everyone else. The final exam was not available to take until the last week. My course didn't have a midterm, but I imagine those that do also make you take it in their specific timeframe.
So you can finish most things faster, but you're still at the mercy of their 12 weeks before you're truly done and have a grade back and all that.

Dumb question - why would you do this? I would never pay $1,500 for a LL course. Maybe UL, but definitely not LL. There are so many other options to get things for cheaper.

Are you asking for GPA reasons? I agree with dfrecore, there is no way I'd spend $1500 on a LL course. I was considering this also for GPA reasons and I do think TESU has 8 week courses also. If you are going to go this route take a UL course. Also doesn't matter if the teacher makes everything available on day 1 you are waiting till the class is over before you get a grade entered and its added to your transcript.
