Is there anyone who can help me with ALEKS algebra I am having a really hard time and cannot get in touch with my professor?

Have you tried Mathway.com and John Woods' Aleks videos on youtube? Mathway.com has very clear and thorough explanations...just search the site for the topic you're learning. And John Woods videos are just as helpful...again, search for whatever topic you're working on. There are a few other ppl on youtube that teach aleks math as well. Wish you the best!

is this new? Does ALEKS employ professors or tutors? When my son did it, he was on his own.

There is no professor when you use ALEKS. It's a completely online program, with self-teaching as your only option.
