A degree in ecommerce is rare as others mention. When they exist they are either focused on computer programming or marketing primarly. If i were in your shoes, id probably recommend a general business major and search for some non test credits that focus on entrepreneurship, digital marketing, and have a good undersranding of finance related areas. If you are technical, there are easier cheaper sources than colleges for learning ecommerce platforms. If youre nontechnical, focus on the skills you need to really manage the business side and outsource the technical bits.

I tend to think its safe for people to dabble in all areas of business, but as a tech guy ill say the actual development of an ecommerce platform will consume all your time if you have no background. To make a secure and safe site you really shouldnt dabble on the developmeny portion. Not to mention as stated earlier there are tons of really cheap and solid platforms already available

CSU-Global has a few courses that might interest you: Entrepreneurship in the Global Age, Intro to Small Business/Entrepreneurship, and Marketing Strategy for Small Business.

But I agree with the others here: 1) read a few books and just start your business (small, with no debt) and 2) no amount of education will guarantee a successful business.

Plenty of people with zero higher education start and run successful businesses, and plenty of MBA's run their own business right into the ground. It can't hurt to get some education to help you understand what you're doing, but I think more targeted education is helpful rather than a degree; learn some accounting, marketing, a little finance, etc.

I agree with the "go for it" posts, but I will say some serious study on basic finance will help tremendously. Understanding how finance decisions impact you is something a person should understand long before they need to understand it.

I mostly advise this, because it's easy to rack up a ton of debt starting a business. I'm not super anti-debt like alot of people, but it is absolutely essential that a business owner understand the true cost of the debt before incurring it. That said, you don't need a degree to understand this, although that is one way to get the knowledge.
