Penn Foster and CSU Global are other options for CJ, but PF often doesn't renew ACE evaluations for its courses.

COSC told me that they were designing their own CBEs, so they should be watching this thread. Maybe I'll send them an email with a link. I have a feeling they're going to copy Uexcel and TECEP by offering mostly general education tests for their more "traditional" students. I like the approach CSU Global has taken.
I spent a lot of time looking for online UL options for the BA CS degree. For UL, I was able to use the CSU-G System Analysis, DSST MIS, and DSST cybersecurity. I would like to see CS courses in software engineering, computer architecture, and operating systems. On the left coast, the computer science major is very popular with the teens and 20-something crowd in traditional schools.

Those just happen to be required courses for the BSAST in IT.

I would say upper level business courses. Upper level history would be nice, too. Science lab credits would also be great.
Also, when I say upper level, I mean upper level as designated by ACE since this is what COSC tends to recognize.
I don't know what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future.

Hi Julie, We were looking into adding education courses but didn't see the big 3 offering "education" degrees. What college are you planning to transfer to? Thanks, Tricia

Thanks All! This is a great poll and wonderful feedback. :hurray: We are the new kids on the block so this information is very helpful.
Ed4Credit has 13 courses approved via the Alternative Credit Program (a few UL). We are currently going through the general ACE accreditation for 27 more (some UL and 2 Science Labs). As soon as we are finished with that, we will begin creating more UL courses to go through another round with ACE early next year, thanks to your feedback. Sorry it can't be sooner, but know that I'm listening and planning to implement your suggestions. Thanks again! Tricia

Personally, I'd love to see a Historical Methods/Historiography exam/course. I'm currently doing a BSBA CIS, but intend in the future to do a BA in History. I'd also like to see some more Eastern Roman Empire/Byzantium-focused history courses, since there is a complete dearth of those even in most B&M colleges.
