My concern about Congress or the Supreme Court stopping Trump from doing anything dangerously crazy (as opposed from doing anything crazy, he already has crazy down cold), is two-fold. First, the S.C. takes too long to rule on things. (Also, remember Andrew Jackson, the Supreme Court, and the Trail of Tears.) Second, Congress is a SEPARATE branch of government, and I'm afraid it will bring about a weakened executive office. So much for checks and balances.

With Trump, you want a weakened executive office. Other than executive orders, he can't do much without Congress passing laws.

Kasich said that too. Bernie was doomed from the start. He will never get the nomination. The Clinton machine fixed this before the elections even began.

Clinton has a man problem and Trump has a woman problem. The only way Trump can win this is to sway blue collar workers in blue states to vote for him.

Before the results from tonight, Clinton has about 3 million more votes than Sanders and almost 300 more pledged delegates. She doesn't even need the superdelegates to win, but Sanders still wants them to change sides and go against the popular vote. Clinton is winning because she slaughtered Sanders in the South. There was no fix. Clinton has managed to win big among blacks and by a smaller margin among Hispanics. Sanders has mostly done well in very liberal, overwhelmingly white states. Sanders is actually lucky that he's done this well because he initially polled very low and had little, national name recognition.

I live in California, so it will go Democrat. Bernie is so far to the left that I can see our national debt growing as much as he can get Congress to fund; so he's a no. Hilary's little e-mail server and her laxity with classified information makes her a no-go for me. IMO her ethics are non-existent. She will likely not be indicted. I don't like the fact that some people are above the law; it is actually un-American. I will vote for Trump merely as a protest vote, but it ultimately doesn't matter because I am in California.

Over three hundred million people in this country and these are our choices? Sigh. There is not any candidate I actually *want* to be president. The parties have become distant from the American people. Most people in the US are just to the left, right, on at center politically. But do we get moderates who people actually think will be decent leaders from our parties - no we do not.

I also do not want Clinton because then our presidents would be Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama, Clinton. I also did not want Jeb Bush for the same reason. I don't like the political class that has evolved in the US. They get corrupted so fast by the power and the money.

Fun fact: In California I just voted today. The Senate race had 34 people on the ballot for Barbara Boxer's seat, I kid you not. It was ridiculous.

Clinton is a centrist. She only moved to the left because of Sanders and where the Democratic Party is heading. Outis asked me about my security opinion of the email scandal. All I know is that the State Department emails have been hacked. They are not that secure.

In my opinion, a more intelligent protest vote would be for the Libertarian Party rather than an idiot who also has scandals in his background such as Trump University.

A May Washington Post-ABC News poll found 20 percent of Sanders primary supporters said they would support Donald Trump if he faced Hillary Clinton in a general election. At the same point eight years ago, 26 percent of Clinton primary supporters said they would support Republican Sen. John McCain.

Looked at the other way, 64 percent of Clinton primary supporters said they would support Obama in the general election; this year, 71 percent of Sanders backers choose Clinton over Trump. The differences between years are not statistically significant, though they suggest intra-party discord is at least no higher this year....

And yes, it did take time, but those skeptical Clinton supporters did gradually come around to help elect Obama.

Post-ABC polling tracked Clinton's 2008 primary supporters throughout the fall campaign and found they steadily gravitated toward Obama during the general election. Obama's support among Clinton primary supporters rose from 64 percent in May to 73 percent in mid-September, 79 percent in mid-October and 83 percent by Election Day, according to the national network exit poll.
