Straighterline : Introduction to Psychology
#1
Hello Everyone.. I am taking my First ever Straighterline Course (Psychology ) and I am not sure what to expect in the final Exam. I have cleared allt he graded exam with 81 percent . I would like to know if any one else has taken the same course and what kind of question they ask in the final . Or how should i go about preparing for the final.
This is also my first academic exam in the USA since i graduated from India in 2002. That's making me even more nervous.

Any help /guidance will be appreciated!

Thank you

Nisha, welcome to USA. The final often has many questions from mid term and all previous exams. If the total of all your quizzes is more than 700 then you have already passed the class and final is just a formality. All you need is 700 total score out of 1000 including final, so now you know how much you need to score on final. People easily score 50 to 65 percent on final and pass the test. I'm pretty sure with your 81% your score is around 650 and all you need is 50 more points, you will be just fine. Also check and see if it's an open book exam or not, then you can search for answer from book during the test. Good luck.

Psych has a 30% final. If the OP's numbers are correct, OP is at 567 and needs 128/300 (42.6%) to get 69.5%.

That's what I calculated too, but I would assume the OP should be good. My guess is she'll pass without much of a hitch...
Essentially she should get over 50% without much of an issue, I would shoot for anything over that obviously...
