COSC and College Composition CLEP
#1
To satisfy the requirements for the "Written Communication" portion of my degree I am looking to use the College Composition CLEP.

My question is do I need to do the test with the essay --or-- can I do the Modular version and skip the essay all together and still get the 3 credits?

Thanks!

Master list shows CLEP College Comp as worth 6 credits, it counts as comp 1 and 2. Im 99% sure they don't ever require any "optional" essay. Don't otherwise know the answer.

Just to be sure your aware, if you got comp 1 somewhere like SL or PF, COSC takes the DSST tech writing as English comp 2.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this).  Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

Definitely take the College Composition CLEP and NOT the Modular. The College Composition CLEP has two required essays. This is how I fulfilled the 6 credit requirement for written communication. The Modular version has no essays, and you will not get credit for this.
I don't know what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future.
