I guess one question is, can I take the CIS 107 exam and it fit in the elective area since I do not have CIS 107 showing anywhere on my evaluation. I know this is a LL course, I'll also take a LL programming course which will leave me needing the rest of the 12 hours in the concentration to be UL.
#4
Also, do yall feel it would be better to switch to the Enrolled Plan and test out of what I have left as it might be cheaper and quicker. I just feel like I might have a hard time getting 7 more classes in with TESU.
#5
Why did they stick Advanced Computer Networking in Business Electives??? I would ask them to move it to the AOS, since their own Networking TECEP counts in that area.

Yes, the CIS-107 TECEP can go in the AOS.

Switching to the EO tuition plan is $3300 out-of-state, whereas taking 8 TECEP's is $888. It might be faster, but it certainly won't be cheaper.

You could easily take these TECEP's:
Any 2 of 6 different TECEP's under Personal & Social Responsibility Thomas Edison State University | General Education Courses - 2015 or Before
Business in Society
Strategic Management
Networking
Computer Applications
Any additional 2 TECEP's (replace something you've already taken with one, English Comp I & II are good choices because they're easy to pass, but you can do any of them). Or choose 2 really easy ones like Applied Math and Technical Writing
TESU BSBA/HR 2018 - WVNCC BOG AAS 2017 - GGU Cert in Mgmt 2000
EXAMS: TECEP Tech Wrtg, Comp II, LA Math, PR, Computers  DSST Computers, Pers Fin  CLEP Mgmt, Mktg

If they stick Advanced Computer Networking in the AOS then taking the CIS 107 TECEP is pointless. Well maybe not pointless for the residency, but it won't help as that would be 6 hours in LL and still needing Programming which will put me over 6hrs in LL and you apparently need 12 UL classes if I'm reading correctly.

Hey,
You are so close to completing the degree. I am envious and yet excited for you.
Did you have a chance to take a look at Sanantone's Wikia page for CIS?

Your best bets and alternative courses for them are listed. I pretty much am going to follow it exactly.

Do you get CLEP and DSST free? If so, go for them as they should be your first option.

I assume you will need residency requirements met, you can take these recommended courses.
As long as it will go into your degree and is available as a TECEP, these have study links to sites.
TECEP Resources

The recommendation for the UL courses and the remaining courses on Sanantone's page is pretty spot on.
Thanks,

Thanks,

Thanks for the kinds words, but don't be envious. It's been a long road and a long time since I was originally in a B&M college where I accumulated most of these credits. Along the way I picked up a few from ACE credits for military training and courses, but basically no credits in over 5 years so in a way I envy everyone else who has pushed through and completed or at least who has taken courses recently.

I do get CLEP and DSST test free for the first try, so I will go that route with some. However with needing the few credits that I do and needing 24 (21 now) credits with TESU, I'm trying to fit them in for residency purposes. I do however hate classes and TECEP test that require essays and projects so I'm trying to avoid all of those. I guess you could always say I was the kind of person who enjoyed getting a test, solving the problem, and being done. I absolutely hate writing and compiling essays and am getting worse about that the older I get. As for the Sanatone link it does provide valuable information and I am trying to follow it step by step as well.
