I have a TECEP question. How is a TECEP noted on your TESU transcript? Is it pass/fail or a letter grade? Also is it noted as an exam? Thank you for any information.

TECEPs are transcribed exactly like TESU courses, except they are pass/fail. This is what it says on my transcript.
Institutional Credits
November 2014 (11/03/14 to 01/25/15)
ACC 421 Federal Income Taxation CR 3.00
March 2015 (03/02/15 to 05/24/15)
BIO 208 The Science of Nutrition CR 3.00
That's why I tell people to never ask a school if they accept TECEPs. TECEP is just a fancy name for a challenge exam, and it will only confuse the school. You aren't transferring a TECEP in a similar manner that you would try to get credit for a CLEP; you are transferring credits earned by a challenge exam at a regionally accredited college.
However, there is an explanation on the back of the transcript that says that credits that receive a grade of CR are from TECEP, Prior Learning Assessment, practicum courses, e-Packs, and transfer courses. It also explains that TECEP stands for Thomas Edison Credit by Exam Program, but you can't tell on the transcript if the CR credit was earned by TECEP, e-Pack, PLA, or practicum.

Listed as CR (credit), does not reflect as an exam
Edit: Oops, sorry, you got your reply in there first.

While we're on the subject...
How about on your payment receipt? Does it show on a receipt as just a normal class? Might he helpful to know how to approach this with an employer tuition reimbursement benefit.
I'm assuming epacks are the same?

I don't think I saved any of my TECEP receipts. I can only find a registration confirmation in my email.

Thanks for checking. If no one else has it, I'll probably know fairly soon anyway. Just need to wait until my academic eval finally comes in

Awesome, thanks for checking. That will probably work just fine for tuition reimbursement. More money saved

My company would not reimburse exams under the tuition program, but my Manager allowed me to expense them along with school incidentals not covered(ie internet/software). The epacks are actually considered an actual class, although independent, so I had no problem with tuition reimbursement; even though CR is listed on the grade report.
