They have quite a few UL TECEP's but many of those are in Business. What is your degree?
I suggest planning in your TECEP's as early as possible, because you don't want to have to do a lot of duplicate work (and spend more money) to get the TECEP requirements met if you don't need to. Take them when you have the chance.

So far I am not impressed with TESC. Still waiting on COSC and EC academic evaluations.
What is your major? If you have a major where Sociology will fit in the Area of Study, they will tend to put it there first. You can ask them to move it, since it's a 100-level course, and that opens up space for an UL course as well as going toward the Diversity requirement.
The Intro to Soc course that you have twice is a duplicate, EC and COSC will not count that twice either.

This makes perfectly logical sense, but will it also count towards Liberal Arts Gen-Ed req? And what about a non-business major? Can we hear from a BA, BS, and/or BSAS major that TESC will take Business Ethics as both satisfying their ethics and also one of their Gen-Ed requirements? Sorry for may cautiousness here but TESC does not list Business Ethics as satisfying an Ethics Gen-ED requirement anywhere in the catalog or their website.

While it's clear that the DSST Business Ethics and Society TE's to Bus 302, it may not be counted as a Gen-Ed since Bus is not a Liberal Arts subject. Check with your advisor. The environmental Tecep ethics will work if you don't have an advisor yet to look at other options.
Every time I do a what-if evaluation for a non-business degree, the Business Ethics and Society DSST is used for the ethics requirement. I'm currently enrolled in a non-business AAS where Business Ethics and Society is being used for ethics. If the course is used for ethics, then it automatically counts toward gen ed. The ethics requirement is embedded in the gen ed requirements. It cannot go anywhere else.

That's why I asked what the major was.
TESC does list "Ethics and the Business Professional" course that they give as PHI-384. And they do show it as satisfying the Ethics requirement. It's 4th on the list of 6 courses. And at SL, the course equivalency for their Business Ethics course is also PHI-384.
Obviously, people should always check first to make sure that the courses they're taking will satisfy the requirements, especially if they don't have something in writing like CLEP, DSST & SL.

The Business Ethics in Society DSST is BUS-302. It does not have the same equivalency as the SL course. However, I'm doing what-if evaluations for business and non-business degrees right now. Business Ethics and Society is being used for the ethics requirement for all of them.

So a few questions for you:
1) Are the course numbers listed (like PSY-239 or GOG-492) given by the school you took them at, or by TESC after your eval?
2) Why would you choose English or Econ as one of your majors? Have you looked at those majors to see what the requirements are, and thought that they sounded interesting? Do you have a place to take those UL courses needed? Or did you just kind of throw those out there to see what people thought? I ask because they are quite different from each other, and TESC doesn't even have an Econ degree. Not sure if you're looking at other schools besides TESC
3) When did you take your CLEP's? The reason I ask is because A&I Lit, American Lit and English Comp could all either be 6cr or 3cr, depending on when you took them. You should add a date to those CLEP's. Or if they've been through an eval, what did they come across as?
4) Are all of these courses 3cr? If not, you might want to put any exceptions on there (like Physics w/lab, I'm assuming that's at least 4cr)

I apologize for any delays while I'm on vacation.
-American Lit, English Lit, English Comp, A&I Lit were all awarded 6 credits in my evaluation which was done in November. I did Humanities and Social Sciences last week and have yet to hear back. All others are 3 credits except for the physics lab (4).
-I am interested in English and Economics degrees and all of my credits fit into those degrees, unlike many other ones I ran on the evaluation website which had many of my credits in the ''other courses'' category. I would like to get a degree in something specific rather than a liberal arts degree (can I test out of an English degree??). Double majoring is also something I may want to do.
-Thomas Edison gave those course numbers in my evaluation.
Thanks for your help! Should I post my evaluation on this forum somewhere?

Not sure if you looked at the English degree, but you would have a difficult time fitting your courses in there. Amer Lit, Engl Lit, A&I Lit can go in there, but they're all LL. All of your UL PSY courses would come out of the UL units you have. You would have to find "Survey of Literature I & II" courses which TESC requires, but doesn't offer. You would need to find 5 UL Lit courses to take, none are available via testing (including TECEP's). UofIdaho-IS and LSU-DL both offer UL English courses for $510 and $619 each. You would still have to take 5 more TECEP's, none of which would fit into your area of study. A&I Lit would come out of yor Info Lit requirement to your English requirement, so you would have to take World Religions to replace it. I think it would be a lot of extra work, and a lot of extra money to do an English degree. About $5000 and 11 courses/exams to complete your degree.
With the LibArts degree, you are really close to finishing. You could take both Abnormal Psych & Psych of Women TECEP's which would probably be easy considering the other Psych courses you've taken. The free Ethics course, plus 3 more TECEP's in anything, and the capstone, and you're done. Less than $2300 and 7 exams/courses to complete your degree.
I think my main question is, why would you want an English degree over a Liberal Arts degree? What kind of job do you think would favor that? It might make sense, but I think you would have to give it some really serious thought. There would have to be a serious ROI on it to make it worth the extra time and money.
Just my thoughts. But I don't know what your ultimate goals are (mine at this point is to just finish!).
