Hi.
What do you do when you second guess your degree plan?
What do you do to keep yourself sticking to it and not getting distracted or discouraged?
I'm a mom I'm a wife
I'm pregnant with baby #3!
I'm a African American women
I'm a nail tech as of 1/6/2017!
Now onto getting my bachelors degree!
Finally the future looks bright!

When I second guess my plans, I make better plans.
When I actually start a degree, I see it through to the end.
When I want to be free of distractions, I stay off of social media and forums like this.

I just start, with the end in mind, but with some flexibility built in. I take courses/exams that will apply to the degree that I think I want, but also to other degrees. I keep reassessing as I go and as I learn new info.
For instance, I really wanted a BSBA from TESC in HR, but I didn't want to pay a lot more than just the General Management degree. I had all of the HR courses I needed except 1. Suddenly, my local CC started offering the course I needed, and in an 8-wk format (rather than 16). I jumped on it!
For you, if you know that Liberty will accept all of those ALEKS courses, and that TESC/EC/COSC will accept several of them, I would just get started and do all of them. Knock them out 1-by-1 until that ACE transcript is looking good! Then, start on the next thing that you can transfer to both. As many courses as you can that way. Find out what Liberty will accept and then go for it.
At some point down the road, you will either see that it's faster/cheaper/easier to get a degree at one of the Big 3 and you will revise your plan, or you can decide that your goal hasn't changed and you want to stick to the original plan.
The good news is that nothing you decide now is set in stone. You always get to change your mind based on the best info you have at the time. Just don't get so bogged down in the details that you don't START!

Not to steal from Nike, but just do it. Get a degree. Then, if something "better" is out there, you can go back and get another degree, certificate, etc. Just do it, 'cause if you keep futzing around, you won't have ANY degree. (This from the woman who took almost 40 years to FINALLY get her degree, in part because I kept changing my mind. I wish someone had slapped some sense into me 35 years ago!)

I think I might be suffering from anxiety and fear of failure. With luck it'll go away as soon as school starts...

If that little voice is telling you something that moves BACK your goal post, tell it to shut up. If it's telling you ways to bring it closer- then it's wise
Seriously, there are 5 million ways to over-think this process. I think when you're in progress, it's easy to get distracted. I don't know *why* that happens, but it does - for a lot of us. My advice is to look at your plan, and see if you can shorten your process. I don't know if that's an option, but for instance, if you were considering a certain class- maybe take a test instead? If you were adding another concentration, remove it. Do whatever it takes to get you there sooner rather than later. Once you have that first degree under your belt, the desperation and distraction will fall away and you'll have a lot less pressure on yourself.
