TESC Degree Plan
#1
I have posted a lot on here about getting credits over the past month, but have yet to actually get any. After a failed CLEP, I'm read for another one and will attempt the Intro to Sociology CLEP within the next week or so. So attached is my plan, what I have and don't have and how I attempt to receive what I need for a BSBA in General Management from TESC as this appears to be the quickest path for me to any degree. After this I plan to also get something computer related, just maybe in a slower time frame, either the CIS degree from TESC or the BS in IT from AMU. But enough of that, so here we go.

What I need from TESC.

ENC - 102 I personally hate English and plan to complete this through AMU online in an 8 week course. I have this already approved through TESC, so good to go.
Oral Communication - Another class I will hate, plan to complete this either through a local community college or the BYU IS online class.
Diversity - Intro to Sociology CLEP, hopefully I will actually pass this one
Ethics - Ethics in America DSST or Business Ethics in Society DSST
Civic Engagement - SL American Government. After failing the CLEP I figure I won't wait six months to knock this out.
Principles of Finance - either the Uxcel or DSST. Will try DSST first as it's free for me and go from there.
Bus in Soc/Intl Mgmt - Confused here because it states can take the Business Ethics DSST, but will it also count for Ethics. Are the Business Ethics and Ethics two separate DSST exams? Will I have to take the two different ones? Kind of confused as this seems somewhat overlapping, might need something else here.
Strategic Mgmt - Will do the CSU Global CBE first and hopefully knock it out.

Specialization - I have 6 hours and will only need 12 more.
I have HRM 331 and HRM 215 so I can complete one more LL class. I will need two other different courses from Accounting, Finance, or Marketing.

SL Managerial Accounting which will transcribe to Cost Accounting according to the Wiki
TECEP Advertising
SL Financial Accounting transcribed as Intermediate Accounting, not sure though as I have Financial and Managerial Accounting filling other credits, hopefully won't overlap.
Last three hours I might take a 200 level Mgmt class from a CC.

Sorry for the long post, but any advice or recommendations are appreciated.

Thanks for this information. Since this is considered Mgmt and since I can use 6 LL credits I'm going to add it to the list. Probably will knock it out quickly. Thanks again.

Principles of Supervision could not be used in the area of study before or after the 2015-2016 changes. It could only be used as a business elective, but there is no room for business electives under the current catalog. Principles of Supervision will only fit into free electives.

Quote:Note 2: Consumer Finance (Personal Finance) and Principles of Supervision cannot be included in the major area of study because of the fundamental nature of these subjects.

Thanks for this info Sanatone. I'm all done with the free electives, so I won't need this. I guess it's back to another course then. I'll add something somewhere here. Also, thanks for your guide. I've just been going by your degree plan wiki to figure this all out. Looks as if I have about 12 test or so to take for my college degree. I personally can't wait to say that I'm a college graduate.
