Does Excelsior, COSC, or TESC Accept DOCNET Courses?
#1
I am aware that courses completed with Doctrine Networked Education & Training (DOCNET) are accepted by American Public University and American Military University. From my understanding, they are accepted as electives.

The site is Doctrine Networked Education and Training, College Credit

Does anyone know if Excelsior, Charter Oak State College, Thomas Edison State College will accept any of the DOCNET course credits or no?

I would greatly appreciate any information. Thank you and please take care.

Wow, that is 35 of hours of military science for free. It just let me take the Communications class, and I am not in the military. What a great find!

TESC has the following listed in this year's catalog, so I would start with them.
Military U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC)
> MOS 11B
> MOS 13B/D/M/P/T
> MOS 14 E/G/H/JS/T
> MOS 19 D/K
> Structured Self Development 1: Warrior Leader Course; Advanced Leader Course
BA, MA, EdS, MMT, etc.
83 hours of ACE-worthy credits

But what is the limit to the number of credit hours that will be accepted by TESC for DOCNET? If there is even a limit? Thank you for the info.

The above listed courses are in person training classes through the Army. I highly doubt TESC will accept DOCNET courses for credit.

Thank you for the clarification. I highly appreciate it. I do not understand why only American Public University and American Military University accept DOCNET courses. I do not understand why other regionally accredited institutes cannot accept their credits. Thank you again and please take care.

It still wouldn't hurt to check with TESC to ask and let them know that APUS accepts the courses for credit to see if they will. TESC just doesn't have a great track record of accepting non ACE/NCCRS credits.

Thanks, Defscarlett. OP, since COSC still accepts "raw" FEMA transcripts, you might as well try seeing if COSC would accept DOCNET courses too.
