A few weeks ago, I was watching reruns of a British TV show about a fictional hospital, "The Royal." Made in the 2000s, it was set in the 1960s and one of the doctors drove an impressive Rover V8. There's another TV show set in 1960s Yorkshire, "Heartbeat" and I watch it partly for the cars.

And oh, looky - here's a Rover SD1 Van den Plas taking off. Turn up your sound!

Heartbeat - The North Yorkshire moors is where I grew up, very near Goathland. Empty roads on a night, lots of rallying, as long as you look out for the sheep wandering around :O

Nice car, but not my personal Holy Grail. That would be the 1939 Lagonda V-12 Rapide. You can see one here - classy as they come.

Incidentally, the Lagonda marque was established in the U.K. by an American, Mr. Wilbur Gunn. Aston-Martin purchased the company in 1947 and the name survived until 1990 in the Aston-Martin Lagonda. Here's a bit on that car. I much prefer the 1939 model!

Looks impressive! The front fascia looks a lot like the late 30's Austin's.

Hey Alley! :iagree: My first car was a mustard yellow MGB Roadster. Im pretty sure I put my mechanic's children through the finest schools. The car was sensitive to winter and usu spent most of the spring being repaired, but boy those 3 months of summer when she actually ran were like no other! That car gave me life- I loved her!
