Max ALEKS credit use TESC BSBA General Management
#1
I see that many of you have completed almost all (ACE approved) available math class with ALEKS but were you able to use them all for your degree plan? I have finished Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra and Intro to Stats with ALEKS and now contemplating if I should do PreCalculus, Calculus and Business Stats but only if my degree plan will allow me to use them. I am preparing for TESC BSBA General Management and have not defined a final degree plan yet. Any direction, suggestions or recommendation from all of you is highly appredciated.

I took all the ALEKS math and Statistics courses just in case anything changes before I applied and enrolled at TESC. And, since I had more than enough time left in my (monthly) subscription to ALEKS, I decided to take those other duplicate courses anyway-afterall, I was not gonna pay extra for them.

Yes, it could not have been cheaper than that. It was not an easy task though- I worked "day and night"...

Working along according to the info posted here, I completed intermediate, college w/ trig, then pre-calc. Then to my dismay, when submitting my precalc test to ace, I read the following:

"Credit Recommendation: In the lower-division baccalaureate/associate degree category, 3 semester hours in mathematics. Students may not receive credit for both this course and College Algebra with Trigonometry. (12/13)."

I have been reading the descriptions too before taking each course and it's really super of them to not list the same disclaimer on the College with Trig description. Is it possible that TESC doesn't follow that recommendation and simply uses their own preferences for transcription?

TESC doesn't really follow ACE recommendations beyond the recommendation for college credit.
