What is the best way to prepare for this test? Which study materials should I get? I have been out of school for 30 years now and have decided to go back for my bachelor's degree. I need a natural science course. I never took a college science course and only bio in high school, which I really do not remember.

I was thinking of taking Environment & Humanity. I really want to take the easiest science course that would count as a science course for Excelsior. My choices are: Natural Science, Principals of Physical Science, Astronomy, Physical Geology & Environment & Humanity. What do you suggest?

I have not taken any of those exams so maybe others can answer better... from my understanding though... Natural Science could be a bit hard just because of the broadness of the topics it will cover. I looked over the test guides when I was considering which science test to take and I was quite overwhelmed with what it covered, but not maybe not everyone has that feeling. I really have no idea about the others.

Geology is the only one I haven't taken, but I'm all studied up and ready for it as soon as this shutdown is over. This is how I would rate these tests from easiest to hardest based on my interests and experience Environment and Humanity (easy, very little study) Astronomy (I enjoyed this one, but did have to study) Natural Science (I took Biology first, you need to know your Bio!) Geology (this one took some work, lots of concepts and terms not heard everyday) Physical Science (very little feedback, very broad. I studied a LOT) Again, this all depends on what you're interested in. If I had to choose which one to do it would probably be Astronomy since it was fun/interesting watching all of the documentaries, even though Environment and Humanity was easiest and didn't require hardly any study.

I have only taken Environment and Humanity of these tests, and am starting to study for Natural Science, but E & H was one of the easiest tests that I've taken. I went through each set of the IC flashcards (expect the Political Processes one - heard it wasn't as relevant for the test) until I got around 90% three times in a row, and took the test. Astronomy does sound like more fun, though.

I have to take dsst E & H can you tell me what was on the test. I have take the practice test online through another company and I did not pass it at all. That is one of the reasons I enrolled for instantcert. Should I be worried.

I took Environment & Humanities about a month ago and studied instant cert flashcards, study what the discussion board specific to the course said to study (you have to be a paying member to access this) and I also studied from FreeClepPrep.com That is all I did. I took the practice test on Free Clep Prep and went through the flashcards for about a week. Looked up some info from the discussion board and you should be good to go. I am 40 years old and haven't taken a test for years and years and years and I passed this one with not a whole lot of effort on my part. Good luck!

I thought I might mention this... for those considering different science CLEPs to fill the Natural Science requirement at TESC, TESC transferred half of the 6 credit College Mathematics CLEP as Natural Science for me (dont know why!). For some of us math is way easier than science
