The BYU turnaround hasn't been a problem for me. I am in no hurry to finish my degree. My recent 8 page writing assignment took about 6 weeks to complete, so I have no room to complain about a couple of weeks grading. I am just glad to have the largest assignment almost finished. From here on out it should be smooth sailing: until I enroll in my next writing course that is.

LOL!!! I see! I've only been here since October and will probably be relocating to Orlando in October. Love the quietness of small town living but there is nothing within striking distance for viewing.

Ahhhhh.....gotcha. My biggest assignment with them had to be 10-15 pages. Each time I got an assignment with a number range, I always did one paragraph past the minimum. I was so burnt out with those papers because with my particular course, I was required to write a 4-page paper introducing the major essay which was usually 6-8 pages itself. Oh well, it's done now. Got an A in the course. Good luck with your course!

I have decided to suck it up and take two advanced writing courses at BYU. It will help when it comes to my Master's level writing.
The biggest issue I have with Excelsior is my own temper and a short fuse.

Amen to that! Honestly, Excelsior is a very frustrating experience. The grad school drives me round the bend. I don't think they have the staff to deal with all their students, so replies to questions are bare bones, often leaving me just as mystified as before I asked a question. I find myself seriously annoyed, and trying to keep hold of my temper.
