ncimfabulous,
1) Got to
NAU | Personalized Learning | NAU
2) Scroll down the page and on the right side is a form for getting their info packet
3) After you've done that, you'll receive an email with a link to set up a profile
4) The profile page has an email which you send your unofficial transcripts to
5) Once you've done that, someone will most likely contact you
I can't speak for the university, but this is how it has gone for me. They've received my transcripts from Regents College(Excelsior) but want to see more, since I have attended a few different schools.
Hope this helps.

Any updates on this program? If we transfer with the maximum amount of credits is it possible to finish up a BA within 6 months?

UGHHHH I am very very frustrated this is the message I recieved from Stephanie in reference to some questions I had and transferring in credits. I have 92 institutional credits (brick & mortar university) not counting straighterline courses that I haven't submitted yet but they are only accepting 61 credits and telling me that I have 61 more to complete. I am so dishearterned right now anyone have any other school suggestions? I wanted to avoid the big 3 and do a brick & mortar school with a great inexpensive online program as I'm trying to finish ASAP. I'm going to have to give the big 3 another look.
Hi,
You are correct that there is a minimum requirement that 30 units must be taken at Northern Arizona University in order to meet graduation requirements. However, in the degree path you have chosen the major coursework lessons end up equaling 57 units of coursework. On top of the major course work you are missing 1 liberal studies course to meet NAUâs requirements. Thus, you have several more than 30 units total left to take to complete this degree. We have completed your transcript evaluation. You may review your Personalized Learning Plan through the tab in the left column of your student profile. If you have any questions about your transcript evaluation or your Personalized Learning Plan, please let me know. It may not seem like many of your transfer credits were applied directly to this degree path, but remember the idea behind Personalized Learning is a hope that you will use your previous experience and prior learning to help you advance through the degree quickly. So for instance your BA courses didnât fulfill any units directly, but the knowledge you gained in these courses should help you pretest out of many of the lessons in the SBA major requirements.
In Personalized Learning NAU traditional courses are broken up into lessons. Each lesson consists of a pretest, topics, and a posttest. You will have one attempt at the beginning of each lesson to pass the pretest with an 86% or higher. If you successfully pass the pretest you are not required to take the topics or posttest, as you have shown competency in this lesson. If you are unsuccessful in your one attempt at the pretest then you can choose which topics to take to help you achieve success in the posttest. The posttest can be taken as many times as needed to achieve an 86%. Just passing the pretest or posttest will give you a âBâ for a grade in that lesson. You will have the option after passing the pre or posttest to pursue a mastery, which in turn would allow you to earn an âAâ in the lesson. So as you can see this model does indeed let you pass an unlimited amount of subjects which you are competent in through exams, without sitting through entire courses. Does this make sense? I am happy to try to explain it in more depth for you or I can put you in contact with a Small Business Administration faculty mentor who can go over each lesson with you in depth to show you how your previous knowledge will help you move quickly, and successfully through this degree. Please let me know how I can help you. Thanks!

Fort Hays State University (KS) might be an option. They have a pretty big online program and would probably accept a lot of your B&M credits (they also accept some StraighterLine courses). The tuition for their online courses is $182 per credit, so if you need around 30 more then you're looking at a bit more than $5,000. They operate on a 16 week semester. Some classes are work at your own pace and some are not. I think this is about as cheap, fast, and good as it is going to get for a college that isn't one of the big three.
