Hopefully Excelsior still accepts Penn Foster's Information Literacy. I signed up at about 2:30am and finished it by 4:30am with 95%. The information is pretty basic for anyone who spends a lot of time online. Considering the $425 Excelsior wanted for this class, $85 plus the $10 for an official transcript is a bargain. I didn't bother to ask my advisor about the class. The way things have gone, I don't trust anything she tells me. I figured it was worth the risk to push it through the system. I will update this thread when they accept or reject the transfer. Now, if I could just figure out how to order a darned transcript.

This is just one credit right? Where does it fall under? General Ed ?

I took EC's Information Literacy and completed it in one calendar day.
BA Liberal Arts in 2014 from Excelsior College. (Took 25 tests)
Certificate in Writing in 2018 from University of Washington.
Current: MA in Ancient and Classical History from American Public University.
Have 180 hour TEFL/TESOL Advanced Cert from TEFL HERO.

I didn't get it pre-approved. I have stopped asking for permission from my advisor because she lacks the experience to be trusted. I took the class and forwarded the transcript. It cost less than $100, so it was worth the risk. If I can avoid giving Excelsior the $420 they want for this class, it will have been worth the risk.
At Excelsior, information literacy is listed along with the professional credits.

I just tried to get that credit with Excelsior. I also thought I would try Penn Foster and Excelsior denied my transcript.

Was your transcript provided by ACE? Isn't Info Lit ACE recommended?

I was just awarded credit for the course. My transcript went straight from Penn Foster to Excelsior.
