A few questions for the pros...

marfund Wrote:Yanji, how do I determine how many CLEP's/DSST's Kanas State will take?

You can find it in the above link. The best part about K-State is that they give letter grades for some CLEPs (bad for those who barely pass everything) and exams count towards your residency. K-State is also a pretty respectable university, so that doesn't do it any harm either.

COSC has the master list of exams that tells you equivalencies.

http://www.charteroak.edu/Current/Academ...r-list.pdf

Straighterline lists equivalencies on its website for all partner schools.

For TESC, I recommend using the website in addition to the degreeplanners document. For some reason, it was never updated with all of the business TECEPs. You can find them all here.

Thomas Edison State College: Course Offerings

Both, Straighterline and degreeplanners, need to be updated with the new Straighterline courses.

Why were you able to complete these test in a shorter time frame, are they easier than CLEP/DSSTs?

CLEP/DSST are exams you study for, so it comes down to how quickly you can cram--> test--> repeat. If you do ALEKS/Straighterline, these are courses that are self-paced. So, if you have 3-5 hours per day to devote to completing the assignments, you can zip through them very quickly. ALEKS is $20/month all the math you can do, and SL is more expensive with a monthly fee + cost of course, but if you work fast you can get your money's worth.

From the tiny acorn grows the mighty and majestic oak...

What it the TESC mascot anyway? A Highway off ramp? A younger picture of Whitney Houston? Three mob guys in prison making spaghetti? Smile Smile Smile
