TESC Overhauling Gen Ed Reqs. Not enrolled, watch out!

I'm concerned about getting everything done for July 1st which is listed as a deadline for graduating in September. If I miss that deadline, I'll be lumped into the next graduation, which is fine, I just want to go to commencement this year so will that be possible or is my deadline now July?

To be part of commencement 2013 (in September) you need to graduate in December 2012, March 2013, June 2013, or September 2013. If you were to graduate in December 2013 (this year) then you'd have to attend the 2014 commencement.

I am currently enrolled with TESC through GoArmyEd but I don't plan on actually completing the full residency requirement (24 credit hrs) that is part of the army program. Does this mean that I will have to pay the tuition before July or will my enrollment be grandfathered in even when I switch to a traditional student for graduation purposes? I'm about 30 credit hours away, so i'm pretty sure I can get it done within a year but I also don't want to drop the money until I know i'm as close to completion as possible.

If you are doing the MDCP, then you were considered enrolled by TESC on the date of your application according to their website. So you should be under the old system.

I am currently doing the MDCP but unfortunately the Army has stopped giving tuition assistance, so I will not complete my degree using this program. Because I have no desire to out of pocket 24 credit hours through TESC I will have to change my type of enrollment to a traditional student. I'm just worried that TESC will consider this change as if I was never enrolled. Has anyone on here had experience converting from the MDCP to a traditional student?

I think if you use your GI BIll, they will pay all fees including the annual enrollment. Post 9/11 is charged per month based on your credit load, Montgomery GI is charged dollar for dollar i believe.

For me personnally , I won't be using the GI Bill because I transfered the benefit to my 2 sons. The money for the enrollment isn't that big of a deal its paying $221-250 a credit hour that is. There are to many alternatives to paying those fees. I also only have Finance, Marketing, Business, and Accounting classes left (aside from microeconomics). I may take a couple of TECEPs but it won't be 24credit hours worth. The exams just take to long to get the results back. I do have options I just want to make sure that I pay the tuition for the year im graduating, once you pay the clock starts for finishing up.

I am getting a second associate and finish my current bachelor with TESC.
I was thinking to get a BSBA but due to this changes I would settle for
an Associate in Business Administration with Clovis.

This is awful, on so many levels. First, for those of us who are in the process of completing a degree and now must finish by a certain time or revamp everything we've done; also because it will require more course work and fewer CBE's; and lastly for all the reasons given in the post above mine. It's obvious this will be used to brainwash people into some global nonsense. I'd bet my entire college education costs that the overwhelming majority of those professors will be far-left-leaning liberals. Even the course titles make me ill.

Personally, I'm not sure what to do.

I am currently taking Ethics and the Business Professional because it got added to my degree plan. My professor has yet to inject any of his political views on us. For the record I am a die hard conservative.

I started my degree while I was in the Navy using TA, and I am now finishing it up 7 years later using the 911 GI Bill as a civilian. I have been in the MDCP the whole time.
