CLEP Natural sciences

Is the course material in CLEP Natural Sciences enough to crack the test? How much more in detail should one study for a given topic? Anyone taking (or has taken) this test please help....

What do you mean by course material? IC does not have flashcards for Natural Science I used the RES book and the Bio questions from IC also petersons practice test.

Are you a member of IC if so the Specific exam feedback section has lots of suggestions of what to study for this exam.

Hi there,

Like Lindagerr, I'm also confused about what you mean by course material. When I took this one I used:
**Most of the Rader's sites from here. That link is to the astronomy site, but they also have biology, chemistry, earth science, and physics sites. These are written for kids so that makes them easier to understand.
**Peterson practice tests
**REA book
**Comex book
**Cracking the CLEP book (not sure which edition I used though)
**Speedyprep has 15 free questions every day that I used too. Natural Sciences Practice Questions |*SpeedyPrep
**Also, the Specific Exam Feedback is good as well.

hiiiii guys!!
i am studying for natural sciences clep and the only book i am using is the REA book.....are there any other study resouces available?
if so plz lemme know....its worth 6 credits so i dont wanna be underprepared.
also i have already taken bio clep....many say that makes it easier...

Additionally, get the Official CLEP Study Guide; it has a great practice test in it. The REA guide, although helpful, should be supplemented with other resources. If you've taken the Biology CLEP, the first half of this CLEP should be quite easy for you. Focus on reviewing the areas you are weaker in (for me, it was chemistry and physics, neither of which I had ever learned).

Since you've taken Bio, that will help a lot. These resources helped me pass NS with 64:

If you took the bio clep not to long ago you should be fine with that part. Concentrate your study on understanding the periodic table and other basic chemistry concepts. Physics basic concepts also help. I had not taken a science course in over 20 years (though I work in the chemical field). I had to review the bio parts but I had a time crunch just before taking the test so I did not study much else. I passed and it was the last credits I needed for my first BA. Good luck and don't over stress, if you passed bio you can pass this.
