Unfortunately the most you're going to get out of most alternatives is 4 credits with the Lab. Here are a couple:
1.
Straighterline. Probably the least expensive of the alternatives to the CLEP, especially if time is a factor.
2.
KCTCS. A bit pricey at approx. $700 but you can finish it quickly and it's through a regionally accredited community college.
3.
BYU Independent Study. Only 3 credits and costs $489.
If you're good at this subject, and this particular exam fits in with your degree plan, you could take Anatomy & Physiology (506)
Excelsior Exam which is worth 6 credits. However, this is not an easy exam and costs $415. If you did poorly on the Biology CLEP you may not want to risk that much money on this one.

Good suggestion about the NAS CLEP exam. There's also the Chemistry CLEP. However, I personally would suggest SL in this case instead of risking another CLEP.

I can assure you that CLEP will not budge as I had my English test start out correctly upright and then within two questions turn upside down, I did my whole test upside down but had a problem concentrating when I was doing my essay portion trying to read and type upside down. I missed it by one point. Even with the testing center confirming the problems that I had CLEP would do nothing for me except offer to let me retake the exam in three months at my own expense. I picked an alternative to get my English and would suggest you do the same for the six hours of science, Natural Science CLEP might be a good alternative.

Since you've asked about this in another thread, too, let me back up a second to give you more detailed options:
First, I'm sorry to hear that you didn't pass it. Many members have found this test to be particularly challenging.
Second, BGSU Alum 86 is our resident expert on test administration and policies, like appealing issues that happen during the test. Check his/her posts for more details.
Third, you can use your previous studies toward the Natural Science CLEP, since it is 50% Biology.
Fourth, in another thread, you mentioned wanting to take the course/test at home. Check out the SL science options for that.
Last, another science test that is suggested a lot is the Environment DSST.
I hope you find an option(s) that works well for you to finish your degree!

You have been given some great options, but I do want to address the whole 6 month vs. 3 month retake period. First of all, this is only for CLEP. I do not see anything on any candidate materials that addresses this, so many of you may not even be aware of the possibility.
CLEP does allow candidates to retake exams after 3 months if the candidate's institution waives the standard retake period. There must be a written request from the institution and this request must be from the academic dean, dean of students or registrar (not an adviser, faculty member or a test center administrator). The letter must be on the institution's letterhead and must provide very specific information about the candidate and the exam they originally took. The letter must be mailed to CLEP, and CLEP also requires a letter from the candidate where they state their reason for requesting a retest. If an institution is interested in pursuing this option and has questions, they should call CLEP Services and talk with a rep who can provide them with the details.
I hope the test center filed a report regarding the computer issues you had to deal with. If they did, and if your institution is agreeable to waive the standard 6-month retake period, you may be able to retake this same exam in 3 months. Otherwise, you have the options available that the others have suggested. Good luck!
