Brain food

Prloko Wrote:LOL! What in the world?
Not sure. But I've heard that DHA (found in fish) is supposed to be good brain food. Perhaps that...?

EDIT: What makes me LOL is that the OP signed off 2 minutes after making this thread and hasn't been back since, over half a year ago.

My daily diet consists of 70% protein, 20% carb, 10% fats. This with ZERO exercise dropped me 20lbs, and mentally I feel as good as I did 20 years ago.
Although my recent 54 on tech writing would not reflect that! hilarious

Do you have a written diet plan?

That's all I needed to hear. I'm off to buy some salmon for dinner. I don't want any ram damage.

My brain is the sharpest in the morning. As far as food goes don't eat too much. Once I had to reschedule a morning test to the afternoon right after lunch and I ate my fill (big mistake, but how often can you eat 'only' a little bit of pizza? Smile ). Half way through the test my mind started bogging down and I was getting drowsy. I don't drink caffeinated beverages because caffeine makes me drowsy but unable to sleep, It's torture.

Good quote. I kinda like this one, on the same subject - strength from Above. It's the motto of a Christian (unaccredited) school - offering Martial Arts degrees including a Doctorate: The Gospel Martial Arts Union. Smile

Their motto: "Blessed be the Lord, my strength, which teacheth my hand to war and my fingers to fight." (Psalm 144:1)

I'm not recommending an unaccred. school here - but if you're curious about them, they're at Gospel Martial Arts Union
The degree-granting arm is here: http://www.gmau.org/?page_id=246

Lesson learned - don't wait around to ask other people on the internet what to feed your brain.

A cup of strong coffee activates my thinking muscles. In fact , many people say the same. You can try it too.

The brain may be a hungry organ, it’s cells requiring two fold the quantity of energy than that of different cells within the body. to figure well and expeditiously throughout the day, this energy state should be unbroken high enough thus to not cause mental stress and exhaustion.

So we’ll check up on straightforward ways in which to stay your brain operating effectively throughout your day thus your work doesn’t suffer. once the brain doesn’t become stressed it will work endlessly thus to not sabotage your daily work flow. For this discussion we are going to assume you're employed most of the day, morning to evening.
