I might be the only guy in the whole place who cares, but TESC added two new upper level math courses! I just noticed it on their updated course list

It is nice to see more options becoming available for math. Will this change your degree plan at all?

Yeah definitely. I was originally gonna do the capstone and differential equations at ohio u. Now I'm gonna replace those two with mathematical logic and calculus IV. May as well do all the tesc math courses Tongue

Very good news for anyone looking to major in math. Is it already possible to use the Comprehensive Tuition Plan to knock out all of the required courses for the math major?

I hope they introduce Real and Complex Analysis at some point.

Yes, it's already possible for the area of study. However, the math major requires Physics II. I know Physics I is currently on straighterline but II might be tough to find as a cheap test/course.

Not sure if my facts are straight.. but if I read it right, Idaho offers phy I & II at $100 a credit + $25 fee for each. so just $325 for a 3 credit class.

The UExcel examination in Physics measures knowledge and understanding of material typically taught in a two-semester (lecture-only) algebra/trigonometry-based undergraduate course sequence in Physics. The content of the examination corresponds with course offerings commonly called Physics I & II. The examination assumes a familiarity with units and conversion; scientific notation and orders of magnitude; algebra, trigonometry, and graphing techniques. The examination tests for a comprehensive knowledge of facts and terminology, an understanding of physical concepts and theories, and the student's ability to apply this knowledge and understanding to analyze and solve a variety of problems.

Sounds like Physics I and II to me.
