Hello everyone.
I am planning to take 3 classes from Straighterline, and wondering if cheaper old version of books would be acceptable.
- Managerial Accounting --8th edition
- Buisiness Communication --11th edition
- Personal Finance --2nd edition
Thank you for your help.

I'm taking the bus com course now. i think you could easily do it with a 11 ed. I have the 12 ed and i barely use it. I'm over halfway though.
Accounting hasn't changed so the older version should be fine.
same for finance.
The courses have online content that goes over most of what is on the tests. so if you can take good notes and use some common sense and good test taking skills you should be fine with the older books.

I think the biggest issue you will have with Business Communications is that the chapters don't match up number-wise. I think they are the same through about the mid-term and then they shift forward because a chapter got moved.
