I have been putting off asking this question because it seems that everybody on this cite knows what this means besides me. However, I need to know - what does REA stand for? I tried to do a search before posting, but it said there were too many responses to list. Thanks.

It's a book company. The books are pretty good and usually somewhat out of date. I used them quite frequently because I discovered InstantCert late in the game.

REA's are very helpful study guide books for many CLEP subjects and other standardized tests. REA stands for Research and Education Association - here's the website where you can check them out -

I'd advise purchasing from Amazon where you can take advantage of the free shipping/no tax (if your order is over $25,) and in my opinion always purchase if possible the version that includes the TestWare CD - very helpful as it closely mimics the actual test experience.

I think the TestWare CD is a waste of money. I recommend buying an REA book without the CD. Amazon will start charging sales tax on July 1.

Whenever you have questions, you can already see if they're on the wiki that's ... associated with this forum. Search wiki, and it will lead you to a posting with the link, I'm sure. One of the things it does is define terms used by posters, and explain acronyms. Good luck. It's also helpful for looking at other's plans in one location.

How can they do that legally?
