Good morning,
I need to finish the current marketing class that I'm taking, and take/pass a History CLEP before mid June, and then I'll finally be done with my Bachelor Degree. If anyone out there has taken any of the below CLEPs, or especially if you've taken more than one of the below, can you provide your perspective and feedback on which you felt was the quickest prep that would lead to the highest liklihood of passing?
U.S. History I: Early Colonizations to 1877 v2
U.S. History II: 1865 to the Present v2
Western Civilization I: Ancient Near East to 1648 v2
Western Civilization II: 1648 to the Present v2

Well I was a history major for my first degree so I'd say all of them! However, if I had to choose between these I'd say that US History I is probably the easiest. If you've taken US history courses in school before you should be able to pass this one with just a few days of review. Here are some links you can use to study for the CLEP:

The easiest history is always the one you are most interested in or most familiar with.
Some people say U.S. History 1 is easier than U.S. History 2. Other say the opposite. Apply your critical thinking skills. The older you are, the more of U.S. History 2 you can actually remember. If you watched president Johnson give the speech about the Gulf of Tonkin when the incident happened, you'll have an advantage over the student who has never used a rotary dial telephone.

Some people say US1 others say US2. For me it was US1. I used IC and my prior knowledge; however IC was more than enough to pass. I agree with what clep3705 said.
About the western civ tests: Though they are not exactly difficult they cover a LOT of territory so don't walk in to the test with just a quick review under your belt. (unless you study this stuff regularly)

Straighterline US History I and Western Civilization - I finished them in a day and a half for each. I've got my notes if you decide to go that route.
