Oops, I keep forgetting that it is a politically correct world nowadays and things get taken out of context when only one sentence is singled out. I guess I should have said that There is no hope for change in the African Countries of "Uganda, Somalia, The Congo, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Mozambique, Kenya, etc, etc, etc, that we can expect nothing but things like Kony and children armies from them, oh and pirates.

Not saying that there aren't other issues in plenty of other countries, but when anyone mentions "Children Armies and Pirates" what is the first thing/place that comes to mind?
And you know the world doesn't care one bit or else the UN would have already been there cleaning it up and stopping all the atrocities.

I'm not even BSing with political correctness, I'm more wondering how you became A) an expert on African politics and history, B) a prophet I find it a little arrogant to pretend to be able to predict an entire country's (and most of the continent's!) future.

Besides, you're a little behind on your info; Kenya has been stable for quite some time, Uganda & Mozambique right behind it.

I agree that the world loves to pretend to care, with billions in aid and charitable organizations that only prolong the state of dependency. But I could not disagree more that the situation is hopeless.

Africa is one of the most corrupt continents on the planet. Don't forget the middle east. Like CLEP101 said, go there at your own risk. Always check the State Department's travel advisories before traveling to a war torn country that has a lot of anti-Western and anti-american sentiment.
