Heres to your health and Substance Abuse testing
#1
Hi everyone! I am fairly new to the Dante's/IC world as these are my first tests. I am extremely nervous and would like to have any information or suggestions anyone has on these two tests. I have plans to take them both on the same day because the testing site is 1.5 hrs from my home. I have been using Peterson's and IC Flashcards..one of my questions is on the actual tests are the fill in the blanks on the flashcards the same word that is missing from the questions on the test? I have been focusing on those words so I want to be sure. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

I don't remember there being much fill in the blank. IC is excellent prep, but they are not set up exactly like the DSST test questions.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this).  Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

Oh ok...so it's basically just multiple choice then? I see you have taken Substance Abuse...was it hard? thanks!

I took substance abuse and scored a 452. I actually thought I failed. I only studied IC and read thru the questions 2-3 times. I have no background in this topic and the only exposure I have to drugs of any kind is from watching Cops/Intervention type TV shows. If you join IC there is a specific thread for this exam (and all exams) with excellent feedback, study suggestions and some study guides.

The test was all multiple choice. The missing fill in the blank words from IC are not necessarily on the test, but could be.

Blair,

It was not all that difficult but I do have a medical background (looks like you do to?). If you will PM me your e-mail address I will forward you the study guide I used. Specific exam feedback is well worth the sign up fee for IC on both of these exams. I got an "A".

Does anyone know the time limit for these tests and how many you are allowed to miss and still pass?
