Hi all! Ok, so I'm getting ready to complete 3 classes with SL and I'm wondering how long it will take to get the transcript / grades sent to Excelsior? I know EC is a partner school so I didn't know if they just sent them electronically or if they had to be mailed. I'm on a tight timeframe and I want to know how long it takes for them to post so I can order a new EC transcript and get it sent to my new school? Are the grades sent automatically after I complete the required course exams or do I have to request it? Two of the courses I should be able to finish in a day and I figure a 2nd day for the 3rd course. If I can get everyone out of the house for the better part of a day, I could finish all 3 courses, so I need to know how long the entire process should take.
Since we have a great group of SL veterans here, I figured you have real timeframe info to give me. Thanks in advance for you help!

Does anyone know how long it will take the get grades sent to EC from SL? Do I need to order a transcript or will it automatically be sent.

You submit a request for a transcript in your Straighterline account on the Straighterline main page (meaning, not your blackboard account). As for time, at 6 o'clock tonight, I requested that they send a transcript to EC. I got an email back about 15 minutes later saying it could take up to 72 hours. I'll let you know when EC receives it!

My transcripts from Straighterline just made it into the Excelsior system, as of sometime this afternoon. So from start to finish, the process took four days. Hope this helps!

Thanks! I just finished my first course with SL and I hope to finish the other two in the next two days so I can put in my request on Monday. When SL opens back up on Tuesday hopefully, they will be sent out quickly. If a school accepts ACE credits, but isn't a partner school can I send the transcript directly to that school too? Just a thought I had today.

I am not sure, but I'd imagine that you'd have to get them transcribed to ACE first.
