shush it ... i was just going to ask the same thing!!!!-I am wondering if it is worth the 19k to potential 22k (with annual fee). I want to know how the format is. I have heard that it nothing but writing which is to be expected.

It seems you'll find the general consensus on this forum is that it's not worth it because it's too expensive for what you're getting. If you look at other online colleges (Western New Mexico and Cal Coast are two that I'm looking at), you'll find similar deals for over half the price.

People who've actually done their Masters should be able to give better advice than mine, but that's a start.

I am at a cross between Western New Mexico about (5k but only offers a masters in interdisciplinary studies- regionally accredited), Columbia College (don't remember the price but it was under 10k and has regional accreditation), Columbia Southern (under 10k and is nationally accredited but has a masters in the area that I want for cheap and accepts financial aid.) Right now I am mulling over possibly doing two masters before going for my doctorate. I am thinking about getting a masters at Columbia Southern for the area I really want and then piggy backing to get the Western New Mexico masters just in case I want to teach. Right now if i do this I am looking at about 15k or less in loans which is what some ppl pay just for one degree. I know the the Columbia Southern degree will not transfer into Western New Mexico but I heard that the WNM program is two years no matter what because of the way they schedule the courses.

Stay focused- master's degrees take time and are a lot more work than a bachelor's degree, plus a doctorate is really a test of endurance. Unless you really need two master's degrees (most unlikely), you should get one and then focus on a doctorate (if you need it).

oh i know that the masters is twice as hard but with a nationally accredited degree from columbia southern i am finding that it would be hard to teach at any college. i wanted to have teaching as a back-up or supplemental career. that along with price is the only reason i am considering two masters.

I always recommend that people look at their state schools first. I live in Texas and I've found online master's programs that are under $7k. The school I'm hoping to attend is apart of the Texas Tech system and it'll cost me about 10k.

Ok, so it's been almost a year since I looked into any Master degree programs.....Anybody know of any new schools that are good, but inexpensive?

Some states have fairly high priced graduate options even at in-state rates. For Alabama, some Florida schools offer neighboring states' residents in-state pricing if they live or work within a certain mile range of the state line. Local is a good option, but look at neighboring states as well.

Also, if looking for a graduate degree in business, do not forget the weight some industries place on AACSB or ACBSP accreditation. While I am a big fan of TESC for undergrad, the business school has neither.
