Barcotta, that is an amazing story. Thanks so much for sharing it with us. Those guys are both heroes of the highest degree. That is wonderful that they didn't just get out and then say they're done, or help just one person, but that they were willing to lay down their own lives, and probably their health, to ensure the safety of others. Not just one person, but many people. Awesome!!!

I was in the 6th grade and I'll never forget what happened.
I watched some videos online today...very sad. There were many heroes that day who saved people's lives, risking their own.

Some don't post because there are no words to express their feelings.

I would reply further, however there are no words to express my feelings. :leaving:
It is quite troublesome (to me) when people have no loss of words when dealing with such exciting threads such as: blood pressure, laptop time, travel destination’s....and NOT that 3000 people were killed at the hands of terrorists in our own country....WTF!!!!!!!!!!

I am very sorry that my not saying anything hurt you. I had no idea that you lost so much that day. I appreciate your sharing that with us. I did not post that day, but I did pray for you and others so deeply affected, which I know you value. There were many reminders that there has been some healing, but there is still a lot of healing needed. God is the only one I know who can handle it.
Please forgive me (and us) for being inept about an overwhelming situation. I realize that you just wanted some acknowledgement of all of the pain that has been suffered.

Shotojuku,
I did not reply because it actually brings up very bad memories for me that I deal with in my own way. I did not lose anyone in the towers but that day that morning as the first plane struck we were actually beginning a funeral service for my beloved Uncle. My husband and brother had left the house to take my Dad to the church and I was all alone when the first plane, then second hit. I was in shock. We are in central NJ, everyone was upset, we couldnt reach each other by phone it was a living nightmare. Our family has close ties with a few folks in the know as well as police and fire officials so we heard and knew of things that were not published. So yes I feel the pain of loss that day; my family was experiencing a loss of a great Elder, as well as an attack on the country in a time when we were not at our best.
May God Bless and Keep us All Safe at home and abroad.
