Taking the Plunge - Applying to TESC - Levi - 03-30-2010 I just sent a letter today to the Director of Admissions at TESC asking for an exemption from the age requirement for enrollment (I'm under 21). I have 81 credits so far from CLEP and DSST and am a high school grad, so I fully expect the answer to be positive. Hoping to hear back soon, so I can submit my application and graduate this fall! I'm kind of confused about when to order my CLEP and DSST transcripts because I always chose DO NOT SEND before the tests. If I order transcripts now, but I take some more exams before I'm actually accepted at TESC, will I have to reorder new transcripts? I've heard horror stories about the customer service and the LONG waiting periods. But I feel that this college is the best choice for my situation. So let it be written. So let it be done. :nopity: Taking the Plunge - Applying to TESC - Ruddigore - 03-30-2010 Levi Wrote:I just sent a letter today to the Director of Admissions at TESC asking for an exemption from the age requirement for enrollment (I'm under 21). Congratulations on taking the next step in getting your degree! It stirs the inside when you realize that you're actually committing to going the full distance. You have one more credit than I do! Erg, I can't let that pass. Technical Writing on Thursday will fix that - I hope. :willynilly: Anyway, we're all cheering you on - and the IC Support Forum is open 24/7! R. As I said, I mailed a letter to the Director of Admissions asking him to waive the age requirement for admission. Received an email from him on April 6th granting my request: :hurray: Andrew, I received your letter dated March 30, 2010. You are correct, the age policy of the College requires applicants be a minimum of 21 years of age. In your case, you have already matriculated 81 credit hours and you will be turning 21 in June of this year. With that being said, I will waive the age policy for you. Please fill out the Colleges on line application found at the link below. Best Regards, David P. Hoftiezer Thomas Edison State College Director of Admissions |
